1st– 3rdGrade

Times:1st– 3rd grade classes run Monday through Thursday 8:30-3:00.

Calendar: We follow the Puyallup School District schedule regarding snow closures and most longer breaks. Please see the handbook for the specific calendar for the year. 

Early Admittance:To be admitted into the kindergarten program, a child must be not less 5 years of age prior to September 1st of that year. First graders should be 6 by September 1st, and so forth. Younger students will be considered on a case by case basis. PPAA does not guarantee that early enrollment into a PPAA grade will result in the student becoming eligible for the succeeding grade in the Puyallup or any neighboring school district. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to check with their local school district’s policies as to whether their student will be eligible to enter the next grade in their district. 


(Tuition rates listed below are for the 20-21 school year. For mid-year 2019-20 enrollment, please call the school for tuition rates.)

Annual tuition for 1st– 3rdgrade is $5625.
A non-refundable registration fee of $85 is due at the time of registration. 
Annual tuition may be paid in 12 (June through May) monthly installment payments of $467.75.

Monthly payment adjusted for those registering in July and August. Tuition is pro-rated for mid- year enrollment at the 9 month rate. 

A 5% discount will be applied to the annual tuition for each subsequent child currently enrolled in Puyallup Performing Arts Academy from a multiple child family. If the children are in different priced classes, the difference will be averaged.

A 5% discount will be applied to the annual tuition, if the entire amount of annual tuition is paid at the beginning of the academic year. 

We offer a 10% miliary discount for families with valid military ID.

Additional Costs:
Violin Rental/Purchase. Violin study starts in January for all new students. Students who have been in our program in the prior year will resume violin study in early October. A violin supply list, with your child’s violin measurement will be sent home in December for new students.  
Ballet Shoes & Tap Shoes.We will gladly give help and guidance as needed. 

A school supply list will go out with the handbook and other paperwork mid-August.

Health:Proof of up-to-date immunization is required before the child may enter school. For the health of your child and others, please keep your child home if there are any signs of illness. We are fully trained to manage and work with diabetic students as well.

Lunch: Students will eat lunch at school. Parents need to send a sugar-free lunch with their child each day. We will gladly work with parents to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Good table manners are always encouraged. 

Conferences: At least two conferences will be scheduled between the teacher and parents during the school year. Additional conferencing may be scheduled if requested.
